THE ORIGINS

Gabutti’s farm, conducted today by the owner Renato in cooperation with his wife Nadia, tills in Cravanzana, from even 5 generations, hazelnuts of the “Tonda Gentile delle Langhe” variety. This sort of nut, from which you can obtain lots of fine products, was sorted and adapted to the broken ground of Alta Langa, thanks to a slow natural process controlled by the human intervention.

 

CULTIVATION AND PROCESSING

The tenant farmer Renato Gabutti deals whit his 16 hectares of hazelnuts plants personally, in every step of the cultivation, from the pruning to the harvest, accomplished at various times in order to preserve the healthiness of the product, up to arrive at the processing of the raw product in roasted hazelnuts, hazelnuts flour, gritty hazelnuts and hazelnuts cream.

 

TRACEABILITY AND QUALITY

Gabutti’s farm’s primary engagement is to offer to the consumer high-quality products.

Our firm in plugged in the control system of the “Nord Ovest Quality Institute” (inspection body authorised by Mipaaf), according to the Community plan; this assures that “Nocciola Piemonte IGP is our own production, comes from controlled hazelnuts-plants and is in keeping with the Community requirements.

The indication “Nocciola Piemonte” o “Nocciola del Piemonte” defines the fruit of the “Tonda Gentile Trilobata” ‘s variety, better known as “Tonda Gentile delle Langhe”.

This delicious fruit is really appreciated for the preparation of sweets and ice-creams, but is also suitable in matching whit wines or beers, or just eaten by itself, always ensuring a goodness beyond compare.

For this reason we can affirm without a doubt that “Nocciola Piemonte IGP”, thanks to its organoleptic properties, its olfactory sweetness and persistence (it smells of flowers, honey and nuts), is the BEST HAZELNUT IN THE WORLD!!
